Terms of Service
Draft — pending review. These terms are a draft and not yet in force. During early access, Inventory is provided free of charge to invited organizations; these terms will apply once public sign-up and billing open, and we will ask you to accept them then.
Draft of 7 November 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of Inventory ("the service"), a web application for keeping track of servers, applications, dependencies, pull requests, issues and todos, operated by metikular GmbH, Alte Hedingerstrasse 25a, 8910 Affoltern am Albis, Switzerland ("we", "us"). They apply between us and the organization that creates an account ("customer", "you"). The service is intended for businesses and professionals, not for consumers. By creating an account you confirm that you act for a business and accept these terms on its behalf.
2. The service
Inventory lets you record servers, applications and where they run, upload dependency manifests to see outdated and vulnerable packages and end-of-life dates, connect code forges (GitHub, GitLab, Forgejo, Gitea) to see pull requests and issues, keep todos with notes, and use all of this through a REST API, including with AI agents. The limits of each plan are described on the pricing page. We may improve and change the service; we will not remove a core feature of a paid plan during a paid period without offering a pro-rata refund.
Information shown by the service (latest versions, vulnerabilities, end-of-life dates, pull request status) comes from third parties such as public package registries, the OSV database, endoflife.date and your forges. We show it as we receive it and do not guarantee that it is complete, correct or current. You remain responsible for updating and securing your systems.
3. Accounts
You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to your mailbox and your API tokens secure; actions taken with them are attributed to you. Admins of an organization manage its members, forge connections, API tokens, billing and data. You are responsible for the content you store, for the people you invite and for the actions of agents you give a token to.
4. Forge connections and third-party tokens
When you connect a forge, you give us an access token for that forge. You confirm that you may use the token for this purpose. We store it encrypted, use it only to read the repositories, pull requests, issues and CI status of the repositories you link, and never write to your forge. We recommend read-only tokens restricted to the repositories you link. You can delete a connection at any time; the token is then deleted immediately. You remain bound by the terms of your forge provider.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to store content you have no right to, to attack, scan or overload the service or other systems (including through forge base URLs), or to circumvent plan limits or security measures. We may suspend accounts that do so, after a warning where reasonable.
6. Plans, trial and payment
- The Free plan is free of charge, with the limits shown on the pricing page.
- The Team plan can be tried for 14 days without a payment method, once per organization. After the trial the organization returns to the Free plan unless you subscribe.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in Swiss francs through our payment provider Stripe. Prices for customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein include Swiss VAT. Customers abroad are charged the same amount; where the reverse-charge mechanism applies, you account for VAT in your country.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from the next renewal, and you may cancel before it.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it. If it keeps failing, the organization may be moved to the Free plan.
- If an organization has more applications, servers or other items than its plan allows, nothing is deleted, but it cannot add more until it upgrades or removes some, and syncing may slow down to the Free interval.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time in the billing settings. The plan stays active until the end of the paid period; there is no partial refund for the remaining time of a period, except where required by law or stated in section 2. If you are unhappy within 14 days of your first payment, write to hello@metastic.ch and we refund it in full.
8. Your data
Your content remains yours. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy, which also serves as our data processing terms for personal data you store in the service. You can ask for an export of an organization's data at any time and delete the organization; deleted data is removed from backups within 30 days.
9. Availability and support
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is kept short. Support is provided by email; Business customers get priority.
10. Liability
Inventory is a tool that helps you keep an overview; you remain responsible for your systems, their updates and their security. To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence, indirect or consequential damage, lost profit and lost data is excluded. In any case, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the damaging event.
11. Term and termination
The contract runs until you delete your organization or account. We may terminate a Free account with 30 days' notice, and any account for serious breach of these terms with immediate effect.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will notify admins of material changes by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
